Barcelona FC and FC Basel Costume

When we talk about Barcelona, we talk about team that has long history, thousand achievements also now; it’s known as the best team on earth. With attractive football style and top player, like Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, Barcelona become the superstar team. But, if we watch Belgian football league, we also can find Barcelona team in there. No, it’s just team that has similar costume with Barcelona. It’s called FC Basel. You also might know this team on European Champion League and this team once even to be in same group with Barcelona.

FC Basel and Barcelona has similar costume, with blue and red color as its main color for first costume and greenish yellow and black short for second costume. But, FC Basel doesn’t have strip like Barcelona costume. Its only two half separated blue and red color. The similarity of these two team costume isn’t only from its color. The logo of Barcelona FC and FC Basel is also very similar. The blue and red colors are the main color of the logo and yellow frame. The most similar thing of the logo is the ball image. It looks very similar.

But, do you know why these two teams have similar costume? It’s because the Barcelona founder, Joan Gamper is one of the top executive of FC Basel. And because he really love Barcelona city, he want to create team that has home ground in Barcelona. And then, Barcelona was born. He also very loves Basel, so, he imitates the team costume and that’s why, Barcelona and FC Basel has similar team, until now.
