Young Talented Badminton Player from Indonesia

When we talk about badminton, we talk about sport that need fast play and quick reaction. And the king of this sport is Asian badminton player. We must familiar with Susi Susanti or Alan Budikusuma, the pair of top badminton player that once becomes the champion on almost all badminton tournaments. Both of them are Indonesian badminton players. Now, there’s Lin Dan, the unbeatable badminton player from China. He also becomes number one of badminton player in this world. And on second place there’s Taufik Hidayat the rival of Lin Dan. He is Indonesian.

If we look at all top badminton player above, most of them are from Indonesia. So, we can say, China and Indonesia is the ruler in badminton sport. Now, there’s Simon Santoso, a young man from Indonesia that shows great talent in badminton sport. Many people say that this young man is next king of badminton. He succeed win gold medal on 2009 SEA Games. But, that’s not only the achievement that he has got. There’re many tournament where he succeed to win and get gold medal. Most of these tournaments are top tournament like, SEA Games, Asian Games, Indonesia Open, Taiwan Open, Swiss Open Series and many more. Simon Santoso also played in double. And he also won some tournament in this class.

And now, this young athlete becomes the member of Thomas Cup Indonesia team. He plays as on single along with his senior Taufik Hidayat. And maybe Simon Santoso is one of the badminton athletes that become the beginning of the Indonesian badminton golden era.
